This is a very serious book about the Holocaust and how two boys dealt with the situation. I thought it was so sad when Bruno didn't stick up for Shumel when the guard caught him eating at Bruno's house. Sometimes we don't make the best decisions when put under pressure.
THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD BECAUSE IT SHOWS HOW PEOPLE LIVED WHEN HITLER WAS ALIVE. IT IS VERY SCARY BECAUSE THE BOY GOES INTO A GAS CHAMBER WITH HIS BEST FRIEND AND THEY HOLD HANDS AND THEY SAY THEY WILL NOT LET GO AND THEY END UP DEAD.
Battle of the Books is a fun, friendly activity where teams of students read books from a specified list and compete in a trivia competition.
To be a member of the team: *attend weekly team meetings in the library to discuss the books *read all of the selected books on the reading list *take the AR test on each title *attend some practice sessions afterschool at the Willow Oaks Branch Library in February and March *attend the actual city preliminary and battle *transportation to the practice sessions and battle are not provided by the school.

i think this book was very interesting. i thought bruno's father was working for the military but not for hitler. Tell me what you think.

Great book but sad. I wish Bruno and Shumel survived. His dad is a bad person and thinks he is better that the Jews.
